About
Welcome to my Blog!
I am the former Head Gardener at Trinity College, Cambridge. I left Trinity in October 2014 to start my own gardening business. I have a wide range of horticultural skills/interests, being a former Head Gardener I feel you have to be the Jack of all trades and the master of none, within horticulture that is.
I will be mainly writing horticultural blogs, but I will from time time write about my other passion…music Heavy Metal/Rock music.
And of course, tattoos…well it is in the name.

How tattood are you? I have been contemplating getting ink on my hands, I am going to be working in horticulture too, have you found your ink to be a burden in this job field or are they relatively relaxed in this field of work.

I have a full sleeve on one arm plus, a large memorial tattoo on my upper arm, along with a medium sized skull tattoo on my forearm. One of the tattoos is also a cover up. I have had tattoos for over twenty years, my sleeve was the most recent piece. I’ve been lucky and have had no problems in my work being tattooed, I know this has not always been the case for others. I haven’t had any work done on my hands and neck, although I do have plans for more work to be done in the future.

Thank you for the response 🙂 , Yea I am in college for hort/ag right now, I think I’m gonna go with just finishing my arms, I’ve always wanted full sleeves ever since I was a little kid lol. Atleast I can wear long sleeve button ups to the interviews and work if need be, if not then cool:)

Ooh, I’m not far from you. I may even have been in to Trinity. I lose track a bit tbh. And I like metal! Do you play? I’m a bassist.

Ah, I need to update my about page! I was the Head Gardener at Trinity but I left in October 2014. I’m still in the area but have set up my own gardening business!
I use to play bass many years back but I am now learning to play the Mandolin…..not very metal I know!
